At their wedding, Wolfgang Van Halen and Andraia Allsop left an empty chair in memory of the late Eddie Van Halen.

Wolfgang and Andraia paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen by leaving an empty chair and walking down the aisle to one of his songs.

Wolfgang and Andrea tied the knot with each other on 15th October 2023. As per the reports, it was a ‘love at first sight’ for Wolfgang. They met each other through Instagram. Eventually, they started dating. After 8 years of a long relationship, the couple married in their home in Los Angeles surrounded by 90 close family members and friends. 

Andraia Allsop is known for Muscle Hawk: Electric Light (2012), Today (1952), and Valerie Home Cooking (2015). She is a software engineer and photographer.

Wolfgang Van Halen is the son of the late guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who was the main vocalist and guitarist of the rock band ‘Van Halen’. Eddie Van Halen died in October 2020 due to complications from throat cancer. The death of Eddie was truly a shock for his family as well as the music industry. 

Wolfgang Van Halen is the only son of late musician Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli. As a tribute to the late guitarist Wolfgang and his wife Andraia remembered his presence at their wedding.

Wolfgang has made a significant presence in the music industry.

Wolfgang William Van Halen is popularly known as ‘Wolfie’ among his fans. He is an American musician. He performed alongside his late father as the bassist for the ‘Van Halen‘ rock band from 2007 to 2020. Wolfie also performed with the heavy metal band ‘Tremonti‘ from the period of 2012 to 2016. 

After Eddie Van Halen’s death, the Van Halen band led to disbandment. After that, Wolfgang began working on his solo project, Mammoth WVH. His debut album ‘Mammoth WVH’ was released in  2021 and his second album ‘Mammoth II’ was released in  2023. 

Wolfgang was nominated for a 2022 Grammy Award in the category of Best Rock Song for his song “Distance” from his solo album Mammoth WVH. His songs, “Distance” and “Don’t Back Down” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. In the year 2024, he performed “I’m Just Ken” alongside Slash at the Oscars.

Wolfgang had a strong relationship with his father.

Wolfgang wrote his Grammy-nominated song “Distance” when his father was battling with complications from cancer. He stated that Eddie Van Halen cried while listening to the song for the first time. He claimed that it was a indeed special moment for him and he will never be able to forget it. 

Wolfgang said that he did not know his father was a famous musician until he “started picking up CDs and saw his father’s picture on them”. Wolfie had been so close to his late father. After the death of Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang shared the devastating news on Twitter.

He wrote, “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I have shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I will ever fully recover from this loss.”
